PACKAGING

PACKAGING AND EASY TO MAKE PROTOTYPS

The Roland DG UV inkjet printers open up a world of possibilities for the creation of special packaging, print tests and micro productions. With peripherals for UV printing you can create original models and structures, speed up pre-printing and correction processes and use external suppliers for short production cycles.

Packaging prototypes

Applications and samples of achievable products are fundamental to the success of the company, because they allow potential customers to understand what is possible. An activity that requires time and resources. UV inks allow you to create a unique portfolio, taking advantage of the versatility and features of UV printers with various usable materials.

Realistic mock-ups

Roland DG UV printing devices allow the use of different materials to create mock-ups for cosmetic, food and beverage products.

Lots of printable materials

The VersaUV LEC series  is perfect for reducing production costs, printing and outlining adhesive materials to make labels and other applications. With CMYK and white inks it is possible to print sheet materials such as BOPP, PE, PET. Thanks to the variable data function, hundreds of customized labels can be produced, each with a different name, serial number or graphic.

Optimize quality and efficiency

With the VersaWorks Dual RIP you can access many material profiles to optimize ink consumption and get maximum results. Among the other advantages:

  • Simple and intuitive interface
  • Supports the use of multiple devices
  • Print variable data function

The RIP supports the Color Management System (CMS). The software allows you to export the CMS data together with the print files.

Reducing production times increases profit

With offset printing, the costs for printing and small production tests can be high. Each color is printed using a specific plate and the corrections are expensive: recovering the costs incurred can be very difficult.

The VersaUV LEC series of printing & cutting peripherals does not require the use of clichés or die-cutting equipment: production costs and times are reduced to a minimum.

Prototypes, packaging and in-house printing tests

Samples and prototypes are an essential element for your business. Traditional methods can take a long time to complete, dispersing valuable resources. Often, “representative” samples are produced rather than actual high precision prototypes.

Combining technologies for UV printing and 3D Roland DG peripherals, prototypes and packaging can be made directly on the farm.

Taking advantage of the in-house process, functional prototypes can be produced to test ergonomics, dimensions, shapes and functionality. The advantages are obvious: dead times and delays due to limited communication are eliminated, all difficulties linked to outsourcing that impact on the business.
