RAPID PROTOTYPING WITH MILLING TECHNOLOGY AND 3D PRINTING

Roland DG offers a selection of 3D printing technologies and milling machines perfect for rapid prototyping. The CNC milling machines support a variety of materials – including ABS, nylon, wood, non-ferrous metals, chemical woods, styrene and more – while at the same time offering a smooth surface finish at reduced costs. Roland DG 3D printers print photopolymer resins for the creation of smaller and more complex prototypes that generally require deep undercuts.

The following articles are just some of the rapid prototyping applications possible with Roland DG technology.

Metal parts and Prototypes

The milling machines with numerical control  Roland DG allow the production of precision prototypes of aluminum, aluminum alloys, brass, zinc, tin and many other non-ferrous metals. It realizes interlocking parts, models, instruments, electronic parts, prototypes and exercises for thermal and structural tests.

Wooden prototypes

With Roland DG’s high-precision CNC milling technology , you can mill complex wood shapes and sculptures using any type of wood. Perfect for making industrial prototypes, the milling machines are also ideal for artistic applications, personalized decorative elements, toys and limited edition models.

Plastic prototypes

Acrylic, acetal, nylon and ABS are quickly and easily milled with Roland DG milling machines. Milling cutter spare parts for fans, gears, bearings, tools and thousands of other items. Choose from hundreds of plastics and create limited edition toys, product and industrial prototypes, electrical parts and enclosures, models and much more.

Printed circuits

With Roland DG milling machines, you can easily mill copper, cardboard and other printed circuit board materials. Perfect for production in FabLabs and for educational purposes, Roland DG compact cutters offer a quick, economical and easy to use solution.

Casts for parts and prototypes

For the creation of more short-run parts and prototypes, Roland DG milling technology allows the casting of wax, plastic and metal for models, industrial components, special edition toys, jewelry making, interlocking parts  and more.

3D Printed Prototypes

With the ARM-10 3D printer , you can quickly and easily make prototypes and parts with three different photopolymer resins: plastic, flexible plastic and rubber material. ARM-10 is perfect for the rapid creation of parts and accessories, to solve prototyping problems, including complex hollow shapes.

Easy 3D with included software

Roland DG milling machines are equipped with SRP Player software for CAD model preparation and rapid production, without the need for programming skills. Roland DG also provides the AM Player which allows drag-and-drop of 3D projects ready for printing.
