Disc Changer is the newest addition to the popular DWX series of 5-Axis Dental Milling Machines. With a combination of automated functions designed to help reduce manual work, production of dental restorations is now even more efficient and reliable. The DWX-52DC’s open architecture means it can be used with the CAD/CAM software that your technicians are already familiar with in order to cut learning time and create the optimum workflow for your production environment. The DWX-52DC provides an efficient digital solution for both dental laboratories seeking to boost production capabilities, as well as labs looking to expand into the digital realm.

Increased productivity due to expanded capacity
Automatic Disc Changer (ADC)
The DWX-52DC comes equipped with an Automatic Disc Changer (ADC) capable of storing up to six discs for continuous milling of a variety of dental restoration shades. The disc changer and milling chamber are completely separate, allowing discs to be replaced during milling. Automated?operation in combination with the increased capacity allow unattended milling overnight. *The included Pin-type Material Adapter enables setting up and milling seven pin-type materials consecutively.


Automatic Tool Changer (ATC)
To minimize preparation work and time, the DWX-52DC is equipped with an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) that automatically replaces milling burs. Up to 15 milling burs can be set up in the magazine for efficient milling of a wide range of materials, including zirconia, wax, PMMA, composite resin, PEEK, gypsum, CoCr sinter metal and fiber-reinforced resin.




 
High quality, precision milling
A rigid body frame and the use of ball screws enable smooth, continuous operation resulting in high-quality dental restorations. The DWX-52DC calibrates the five axes automatically prior to milling. An airflow system assists in keeping the work area clean, and an air pressure system has been added to automatically change the volume of air for the type of material being milled.



User-friendly design
The DWX-52DC includes the industry-acclaimed, user-friendly Virtual Machine Panel (VPanel), which can control up to four machines from a single computer to boost production capacity. The VPanel monitors milling bur life and alerts users when burs need to be replaced. A new cleaning function has been added to help reduce post-production work by removing dust from the surface of milled materials like zirconia.

Dust Collector

A dust collector to collect milling dust is necessary for this machine. You need to prepare a dust collector separately.
Provide a dust corrector that meets the following conditions.
  • Static pressure: 4 kPa or more
  • Air quantity: 2 m3/min or more
Use the supplied dust collection hose. You should clean the dust collector regularly.

Compressed Air Supply Source (Compressor)

Compressed air is necessary for this machine. You need to prepare a compressor separately. You also need to prepare an air hose to connect the compressor with the regulator in addition.

Provide a compressor that meets the following conditions.
  • Control pressure: Between 0.3 and 1.0 MPa
  • Air capacity: 30 L/min or more (for one machine)
  • Oil-free type (To prevent contamination of the compressed air by foreign material.)
  • Dryer-equipped (To prevent moist air that can cause rust.)
The air hose (1) connects the compressor to the regulator.
